Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase (Firestore), hosted on Google Cloud infrastructure. Data is stored per user account and is only accessible by you and members of your team via invite code.
Your team and match data is held in Google's europe-north1 region, in Finland. Some of our processors are based outside the European Economic Area, or may access data from outside it for support purposes. Where that happens, the transfer is covered by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses under our data processing agreement with that provider.

If you grant notification permission, your device's push token is saved to your account. We use this to notify you of new matches scheduled by your captain. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings — revoking permission stops future notifications.
We do not sell, trade, or share your personal data. We only use the following processors:
Each of these acts as a processor on our instructions under a data processing agreement. None of them are permitted to use your data for their own purposes.
Your data is retained as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated data is permanently removed from our systems within 30 days.
Cric Captain lets a captain build a squad by entering players' names, and optionally their email addresses in order to invite them. This means we may hold information about you that you did not give us yourself, and possibly before you have ever opened the app.
If a captain has added you to a squad: the information held is your name, your playing role, your availability for matches, and — if the captain invited you — your email address. It is visible to that captain and to other members of that team. It is not used for marketing, and it is never sold.
The captain who entered your details decides what is recorded about you and is responsible for having a proper reason to record it. We provide the app that stores it. If you want your details corrected or removed, you can ask your captain directly, or contact us at criccaptain.app@gmail.com and we will act on your request even if you do not have an account with us.
Cric Captain is not directed at children, and you must be at least 13 to create an account. We do not knowingly allow anyone under 13 to register.
We recognise that club squads often include junior players, and that a captain may add a child's name to a squad under section 8. Captains are responsible for obtaining the consent of a parent or guardian before entering a child's personal details, and for entering no more than is needed to organise the team. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child's information has been recorded without your agreement, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at criccaptain.app@gmail.com. We will respond within one month. There is no charge.
If you are in the EEA or the UK and you think we have handled your data improperly, you have the right to complain to your data protection authority. Ours is the Finnish Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman (tietosuoja.fi/en). We would rather you came to us first so we can put it right.
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the app or by email. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
